Joint Board of Directors Training Seminar

On Sunday, 12th June our Club was the host Club for the training of incoming Board Members. This programme was held at Smt Pramilaben Dand Rotary Service Centre from 9am to 1pm. This was attended by 25 rotarians. Rtn. Hirachand Dand, rtn. Chetan Lodaya, Rtn. P.H. Thyagaraju and Rtn. Bharat Gala were present from our Club. The meeting was followed by lunch.

Mid-day Meals

Mid Day Meal Project for the year 2011 – 12 was launched on 19th June, 2011, Monday at Joy Max English High  School, Ramabai Colony, Ghatkopar (East), Mumbai –  400 075.

The opening day project was joint project with Inner Wheel Club & Rotaract Club.

 The following persons were presented: -

Khichdi was distributed to Primary school students by all the persons who were presented at the project.

 Principal Mr. T. Abraham Chelladurai was very co-operative and had appreciated help extended by our club.

Notebook Distribution

 On 24th we had Notebook distribution at our RCCs, Ashti, Paithan, Anne, Satana. We are thankful to Rtn. Dr. Mahesh Parikh for personally visiting the residential schools for Special Children to distribute the notebooks.

On 26th June Sunday our Club organized a Notebook Distribution Project at Smt. Pramilaben Dand Rotary Service Centre at 10am for the underprivileged children. We distributed notebooks to students from Std. I to Std. X.

The project was well attended by Rotarians, Rotary Anns, Inner Wheel Members and Rotaractors.

Public Speaking Seminar

On 3rd July 2011 we had organised the ‘Public Speaking’ Seminar for 25 college students. Mr. Bharat Kanobar was the faculty during this seminar. We thank Rtn. Thyagaraju, Rtn. Sudha Navandar, Rtn. Umesh Somaiya, Rtn. Harish Vadodaria for their contribution towards this project.

Installation of Rotaract President

In a gala function Rtr Jagruti was installed as the President of Rotaract Club of Mumbai Ghatkopar on Saturday, 3rd July 2011 at SNDT College Auditorium, Ghatkopar. The function was attended by Rtn. Hirachand Dand, Rtn. Nilesh Mehta and Rt. Ann Kaustubh Pradhan.

Felicitation of X and XII std. Students

Rtn. Mrudula Dand, Rtn. Trupti Shah and Rtn. Sudha Sheth visited our adopted School and College at RCC Tulai and felicitated the class X and XII students.

Tree Plantation

On 9th July we conducted the tree plantation at our Smt. Pramilaben Dand Rotary Service Centre.

Guru Poornima

On 15th July 2011 we felicitated the six yoga teachers who conduct daily yoga classes at Smt. Pramilaben Dand Yoga Centre. Pres. Hirachand, Rtn. Srikrishna Ghiya, Rtn. Virendra Shah, Rtn. Hitesh Bilakhia, Rtn. Laxmichand Gala, Rtn. Ashok Goradia, Rtn. Ramesh Mistry ,Rtn.  Dr Mudunuri, Rtn. Dr Rajendra Dalal , Rtn. Dr Mahesh Parikh,  Inner Wheel President Vipula Kuwadia and Dr. Leeladevi Mudunuri were present for the project.

Installation of  Interact President

On 16th July 2011 Interact President was installed as the President of P.G. Garodia (ICSE) School. President Rtn. Hirachand Dand, Rtn. Radhika Pradhan, Rtn. Trupti Shah, Rtn. Hiren Vyas, Inner Wheel President Vipula Kuwadia, Rotaract President Jagruti & Rtr. Parshwa were present at the Installation

Installation of Rotary President

In a grand function Rtn. Hirachand Dand was installed as our Club President in the presence of District Governor Vijay Jalan on 17th July 2011, Sunday at 6pm at IVY Banquets.

Monthly Medical Camp

On 20th July volunteers, Rotarians and doctors conducted the Monthly Medical Camp at RCC Bandivli. Nearly 400 patients took the benefit of this camp. Free medicines were donated.

Awareness on Thalessemia

On21st July our Club had arranged a Thalessemia awareness programme for the senior students of Jhunjhunwala College, Ghatkopar along with Mr. Vinay Shetty of Think Foundation.

Thalessemia Check-up

After the awareness lecture a thalessemia testing camp was held at Jhunjhunwala College for the students on Friday, 22nd July. Nearly 392 students took the benefit of this camp. Rtn. Hirachand Dand, Rtn. Dr. Rajendra Dalal, Rtn. C.M. Thakkar and Rt. Ann Urmila Thakkar attended this project.

Installation of Rotaract President (SPN Doshi Womens College)

The President Naina was installed as the President organised at SNDT College Auditorium. The installation took place on Saturday, 23rd July at 10am.

Seminar on Kidney related disesases

On Sunday 24th July at 10am our Club arranged a seminar on Kidney related diseases at our Smt. Pramilaben dand Rotary Service Centre.. Dr. Bharat Shah, a well known nephrologist from Narmada Kidney foundation addressesd the members of Ghatkopar in a very interactive session. Check-up

A blood pressure and Sugar Testing was arranged along with Narmada Foundation at Smt. Pramilaben Dand Rotary Service Centre on Sunday, 24th July. Free Attestation of mark sheet, resident proof, birth certificate and other necessary papers required for admission, Legal Advice and Consultation (for red and yellow ration card holders) and Preparation of Affidavit, Power of Attorney, Letters, Notice etc. is done by our Rtn. Bhanu Rasputra at our Smt. Pramilaben Dand Rotary Service Centre on every Sunday.
